These are pencil drawings of the images that I got from a fashion magazine. I don't remember which magazine it was. I drew them in 2004. 

Why Ice-CooL ?

My nickname Ice-CooL was created by my dear South African friends, Ansa Brink, Justine Barnard and Jason Wang. When I was studying in Tilburg my foreign friends couldn't pronounce my name. I understand them because Ayşegül is a difficult name since Turkish is very different than the latin originated languages. One night we were partying as always in Hogeschoollaan :) in 2009, Ansa and Justine wanted to find me a nickname. After trying different versions of Ayşegül, they finally came up with icecool inspired by the song Hey Ya! of OutKast.. Then they started to call me icecool instead of Ayşegül from time to time. Later it became so popular, even my Turkish friends started to call me icecool. But I like it! :D

Some Watercolor..

I have done this two watercolor paintings in MN when I was taking painting classes in Wayzata High School. It was 2004. I think they are my best watercolor paintings since I don't use watercolor that much :))

Michael Carson

I like Michael Carson's paintings. And him being from Minnesota makes me like him even more. Because I had an amazing year in MN. I have lived in Plymouth,MN from August 2004 to July 2005. I was only 17 and it was a huge experience for me; living in US with wonderful families (Edwards and Pettengills) and going to an American high school.. Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas, American Wedding, American Funeral, Baptism, Homecoming dance, American Football games, Prom, Graduation from Wayzata High School, living with 3 lovely cats and a dog, later living with 4 siblings etc.. I love your homemade cookies Maddie! :)) 

Michael Carson was born in 1972 in Minneapolis, MN.  He graduated from the Minneapolis Institute of Art and Design in 1996.  Working as a graphic Artist, he painted his first painting three years after graduating from college.  He knew he had found his calling and in 2001, started painting full time.

His volition is to emphasize relationships of color and light and allow the texture of his brush stroke to move the viewer’s eye through the art.  “I like the fact that the face can be such a subtle subject and one brush stroke can be the difference in the feel of the entire piece.  That gives me the ability to work in one subject matter and still find that I learn something new in every painting.  I love to incorporate my love of design, fashion and architecture into my work.  My nondescript surroundings help me to create a mood or a story that I am trying to relay through my painting.  Seeing how the work evolves, the subtle and drastic differences, and looking forward to the future is what keeps me painting.  I view a painting as a success when I take from it something new that follows me into my next work.  It’s just learning to become a better painter.”

TR. Bu datli donis'imle beraber Bath'dan aldigim guzel sketch book'u ma cizdigim ilk resim. Gerce defteri aldiktan cok sonra actim ve resim yapmaya basladim. Deniz bana kizdi uzun bir zaman defterin ambalajini bile acmadigim ve hic resim yapmadigim icin. Ve bana, kendisi Christmas tatili icin Turkiye'ye donunceye kadar her hafta en az bir resim yapmami emretti :)) Onu cok seviyorum! <3

EN. This is the first drawing on my new sketch book that I bought in lovely city Bath with my sister Deniz. However, I started drawing on this sketch book long after I bought it. Deniz was mad at me because I hadn't even opened the wrapping paper of the book and I hadn't drawn for a long time. So, she ordered me to draw at least one drawing or painting per week till she comes back to Turkey for Christmas holiday :)) I love her! <3

TR. Iste sonunda o gun geldi catti! Artik ice-cool'un da bir blogu var. Sevdigim sanat eserlerini, kendi resimlerimi, begendigim fotograflari, kendi cektigim ve guzel olduguna inandigim fotograflari arkadaslarimla ve ailemle buradan paylasmak istedim. Madem sanatla ilgili profesyonel bir isim olmayacak, sanati hayatimda canli tutmak icin blog yazmanin iyi bir fikir oldugunu dusundum. Belki cok daha degisik konular da olabilir tabii gelecek gunlerde blogumda, kendimi kisitlamak istemiyorum.. Ama ana fikir sanat olacak kesinlikle.. :)) Yani resim, heykel, muzik, fotograf, moda, design vs. Resim yapmayi coooook seviyorum! 

EN. And finally the day has come! Now ice-cool has her own blog. I wanted to share the art pieces that I love, my own paintings and drawings, the pictures that I like and the photos that I took with my dear family and friends. Since I will not have a professional job related with art, I want to keep the art alive in my life by writing this blog. There might be posts about more different topics, I don't want to limit myself. But the main topic is art for sure.. :)) What I mean by art is painting, sculpture, music, photography, fashion, design etc. I love drawing and painting!
